Sewer Do's & Don'ts
DO NOT allow the following to enter the sewer system:
*Absolutely NO baby wipes and/or wet wipes in the toilet, even if it says "disposable" on label. They break our sewer's motor.
THE CITY SAID IF BABY WIPES AND/OR WET WIPES TEAR UP ANOTHER MOTOR, THE HOMEOWNERS WILL BE PAYING FOR IT! aT THE COST OF $12,000!
*Grease, fat or food scraps
*Oils, paint, or solvents
*Human or pet hair
*Kitty litter, coffee/tea grounds, eggshells
*Paper towels, newspaper, sanitary napkins or diapers--including tampons and plastic applicators
*Chlorine, pool or spa products
*Pesticides, herbicides, or other agricultural chemicals
*RidX
*Cigarette Butts
*Any other product that is not biodegradable
DO become familiar with the system by knowing the following:
*Riser Cover & Control Box -- Know where your system components are located
*Disconnect Switch or Breaker -- Know where in your home's Electrical Panel this is located.
*Sewer Alarm -- If the sewer alarm sounds call-- 931-232-5907

*CALL 811 before you dig in your yard. A town utility worker will come out and mark water/sewer lines for you.
*Conserve water when possible -- leaks cost you!
